Driving Age

Drivers should be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Drivers between 21-24 must pay double deductible.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers must present a valid driver's license at the time of the rental. There is no additional charge for additional drivers.

Pick-up/Drop Off

Pick-ups and returns are made at our location at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, Belize. For more details, visit our "Location" page.

Rental Period

Rentals must be made for a minimum of 2 days. A rental day is a 24 hours period. Customers have one hour grace period to return their rental. An hourly charge is made for every hour after the one hour grace period has passed. An additonal day charge is made once a customer exceed 5 hours.

Car Seat

Discount can provide car seats for requests made in advance.

Cross-border Driving

Cross-border driving is not allowed with Discount Car Rental vehicles.

Accident

In case of an accident, customers should first call the police at 911 to report any traffic accident and then call us at our toll free number. Customers are responsible to get the particulars of any other vehicle involved.

Payments

• Payments must be made with cash/traveler’s cheque, Visa, Master Card or American Express cards.
• Deductibles and security deposits must be made with a credit card only.

Insurance

Insurance and deductibles vary with different vehicle types.

• Type-1 Insurance - $12.95 per day with $750.00 deductible
• Type-2 Insurance - $13.95 per day with $750.00 deductible
• Type-3 Insurance - $14.95 per day with $1,250.00 deductible
• Type-4 Insurance - $16.95 per day with $2,500.00 deductible

Collision Insurance is optional if your credit card has the Collision Insurance Coverage.

Declining Insurance

Insurance is optional. Customers who decline insurance must make a security deposit equivalent to the vehicle's insurance deductible and are 100% responsible for all damages made.
